Hi! I’m Veronika Izmaylova, a third-year studying Cognitive Science, Piano Performance, Data Science, and Integrated Marketing Communications. I am from Ukraine and grew up speaking Russian with my family, before moving around international schools in different countries and even spending a bit of time in a French-speaking school. There were times when I felt too insecure to speak out as a foreigner in an unfamiliar environment, and writing became my comfort and my main outlet for self-expression. These insecurities may have passed but writing has stayed with me as a tool for understanding myself better and making sense of my thoughts and experiences – a tool that, I believe, we can all benefit from!
