I’m a 4th year student in Feinberg’s Health Sciences Integrated PhD Program. My dissertation will explore barriers to medication adherence among minority kidney transplant recipients. Working as a Graduate Writing Fellow has given me the chance to meet students from a variety of fields and learn about really interesting work going on outside of my program. Consultations are more like conversations, where we brainstorm ways to make the most impactful parts of a student’s work apparent. I’ve really enjoyed this process, and it’s helped me to think through my own writing more clearly and critically. I’ve also enjoyed getting to know other students better through recurring appointments. Mostly, I appreciate the trust they place in me and my ability to help them!
