Bailey Flynn is a PhD Candidate in Communication Studies, with a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies. She is a writer, researcher, and community advocate, spending much of her time off campus as a professional rape crisis counselor. Her work has been published in Qualitative Health Research, the Review of Communication, and Ampersand: An American Studies Journal. She has coached formerly inarcerated writers in the community through partnerships with the Chicago Torture Justice Center and Women Initiating New Directions (WIND). At the Writing Place, she loves collaborating with students to bring their academic work to life through narrative and storytelling tools.
