I’m Harrington Weihl, a PhD candidate in the English department. I’m writing a dissertation on play and games in the literature of the United Kingdom and British Empire in the twentieth century. Serving as a Graduate Writing Fellow gave me the opportunity to work with writers across disciplines; this has not only improved the quality and range of my feedback, but has also improved the interdisciplinary approach that I take to my research. Furthermore, communicating with writers across disciplines has helped me communicate more effectively in my own writing. Thanks to my time at the Graduate Writing Place, I feel better equipped than ever to deliver polished writing both in my dissertation and beyond.
