My name is Nikita Salovich and I’m a PhD candidate in cognitive psychology. I study why people do (and do not) evaluate information, and how it relates to the belief and spread of false ideas. After an incredibly positive experience working as a writing consultant during my undergrad at the University of Minnesota, I jumped at the opportunity to become a writing fellow during my graduate study at Northwestern! What I love most about writing consulting is working with and alongside people from such richly diverse backgrounds and experiences. It is immensely rewarding to help students contribute their own voice to their fields of study by transforming abstract ideas into concrete pieces of writing. Every consultation challenges me to become a more thoughtful and creative communicator, both at the writing center and in my own work.
