Fellow – Stephen Mc Nabb

I am Stephen McNabb, a PhD candidate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese where my research investigates the mobilization of Indigenous worldviews and subjects in contemporary Latin American literature. My dissertation considers twentieth century Andean novels that invert archetypal representations of Indigenous subjects from objects of study to active subjects in their own textual representation. As someone motivated to constantly learn new ways of thinking and doing, the opportunity to work with students across many disciplines and backgrounds in the Writing Place is an exciting chance to grow while helping other writers discover their voice.
